He was already aware that a well-placed dig in the shins wasn't a bad way to throw an opponent off-balance, and he never had to worry about a lack of reach if he went for a guy's legs.

Getting back to his feet, he did his best to imitate what she'd shown him. When he did it wasn't nearly as fast or as graceful, but he reckoned there was enough power in it that whoever was on the receiving end would, if not prepared for it, be at least somewhat winded.
