"I'm good either way," Harry said, bouncing on his heels. He hadn't taken a swim today, and had a lot of energy to burn off. "Depends what you think'll be more fun - kicks sound good. People don't expect to be kicked."

He was already aware that a well-placed dig in the shins wasn't a bad way to throw an opponent off-balance, and he never had to worry about a lack of reach if he went for a guy's legs.

Harry watched her carefully, and before going any further, sat down to remove his sneakers. They wouldn't cause half as much damage as jump boots would, and he was sure Sonya knew how to dodge, but he'd rather not risk it.

Getting back to his feet, he did his best to imitate what she'd shown him. When he did it wasn't nearly as fast or as graceful, but he reckoned there was enough power in it that whoever was on the receiving end would, if not prepared for it, be at least somewhat winded.

"Like that?" he said, smiling optimistically at Sonya.
