::hugs:: Let's take care of both kidneys, kid and YOU---safe passage and thinking only good thoughts. And believe me, if they induce, be careful not to sneeze or he's shoot out like a watermelon seed. Pitocin is the "high speed download" of child birth!!

I was bigger with baby number three actually, and I think I'm shorter. I was making curtains and measuring my waistline to amuse some kids at the time. No one should be 44 inches around, ever. (She had an extra large pool of amniotic fluid to swim in.)

The good news I can give you that my doctor told me when we did the induction for her is that the risk of an induction leading to a c-section is highest for first time pregnancies. After the first delivery in your lifetime, the risks go way way down. We went in to the hospital at 7, got the pitocin at 8, and had the baby at noon. Here's hoping your time is as simple and easy as that.

Another friend just delivered at 36 weeks, after a month on hospital bed rest for pre-term labor, and she and her new one are doing great. Here's hoping your labor is brief and kiddo comes easily, and your kidneys get over themselves and get back to normal ASAP.
