Id be happy to help sometime. I just finished up my rent house, so I may have some free time to come start a new project. Also, couldnt you splice the bad part of that sump pump hose? Or, is the entire hose messed up? Also, if the diameter of the hose will allow, a new smaller diameter hose run through the old one would prevent the need to tear up the asphalt. Another way is to auger out a hole and run a new line under the asphalt, if you had the proper tools. There's always a dozen ways to do a project. As for running your surround sound, you could run the wires under the floor. Drill a small hole where the carpet and baseboard meet, and the carpet will fluff over the hole and you will never see it. Run the wires under the floor, then back up another hole to the speakers.
Thanks! We tried splicing the hose. The original is so rotted out that it just split more. It just needs replaced. It turns out, Jim's dad is going to do it. He's good at these things so it should turn out alright. It is his house afterall! :)
