OSpray Saga continues

The more I thought about that letter I got back from OceanSpray, the more condescending it felt to me. So, I wrote to them again. If you want to, you can read it.

Dear Marilyn,

I'm not sure if you really read my letter, but if you did, you will realize
that I do not lack reading or comprehension skills.
In the letter I wrote, I reitierated the instructions, nearly verbatim, and
explained that for whatever reason, it does not seem to work. I can't help
but feel that this new can is more about saving a tenth of a cent on making
the can than it is about making it easier to serve the product. Or if it is
truly about being more environmentally friendly, or easier to store in the
pantry, then it should be labeled as such, rather than calling it "Easy
Serve," to which I can attest, it is not. How about calling it the "Easy
Store" can, or the "Environmentally Sound" can.
In order to actually be able to remove the product from the can without
butchering my cranberry sauce entirely, I have found that I have to actually
puncture the bottom of the can. That can't be safe, and while you don't
recommend that, I'm sure that other people are finding this to be the case
also. If McDonalds can be sued for serving hot coffee hot, your company
might want to consider the financial ramifications in the long run, should
someone actually get injured trying to get through your more cost effective
packaging in order to get to your product.
Let me once again make it clear to you that I was able to read and
understand your serving instructions on the can, and could read and
understand what you wrote to me again, which is by the way, word for word
what both the can and your website instruct me to do. It has been my
experience that following these instructions do not work. The reason I
wrote to you was not to get the same instructions again. It was to let you
know that this method has not yet worked for me, and it has been more than
once that I have encountered your new packaging. I want to be clear when I
say that not only did I not find the new can convenient, I found it to be an
incredible hassle. I have to admit that I am considering switching to the
store brand of cranberry sauce, and sacrificing quality for convenience, and
ease of use, and so that when I set my Sunday table, I have a presentable
meal. Food should be pleasing to the eye as well as the palete.

Sincerely,
my name
