We got to the airport only to be told that they were expecting our first plane to be pretty late, which meant that we would miss our connecting flight in Charlotte. So they wanted to switch us to another flight which was fine, but then they found they didnt have room to move us all on to the same flights. I would like to note that it is 2 am local time, and that (provided you are in CA) it is only 11 pm there.

Glad you're all there safe & sound. Sorry to hear about the fiasco with the airlines. They're definately good for that. But hey! At least you got a direct flight out of the deal... that makes travelling with 3 kids much easier I'd assume.

I hope you have a good visit, despite the main focus of your visit being somewhat grim. You're all in my thoughts, K. When you get home, give me a call sometime.

You really hit the nail on the head Tyler. Just when you think it will be totally impossible to look at the hole instead of the donut, something happens that makes at least parts of things easier.
