I feel this so much, especially with how much twitter gets reactionary. I miss feeling like I could actually reply to things and not get drowned out or share real, deeper aspects of life goings on. I wish this could come so much.
Yes! That's it. I think Twitter is probably the closest we have, but it's so fast paced, and obviously short form posts, and it's just not the same at all. This place was always somewhere people could ACTUALLY talk, have long conversations. And others could join in and that would actually make it a community of people. I absolutely can't stand Tumblr for that - no comments or conversations at all, just reblogs. Blech.
I hate that about tumblr. People will reply and even after so many years I’m still frustrated that I can’t directly reply to them. Wish it was possible for someone to buy back lj and rebuild the community.
I miss the community as well, although I will always be grateful for the friends I made here. We had SHareCon last weekend and I was thinking of you, hope all is well.
