The fastest graphics accelerator I own is almost certainly the one in my mobile phone.

The very fact my mobile phone *has* a graphics accelerator somewhat amuses me.

Its a funny world.

The processor in my phone is far more powerful than the souped-up system I built during my first year in Penbryn. It's about twice as fast and has twice as much RAM. It's 3D graphics accelerator is an order of magnitude more powerful. It has a touchscreen, wireless networking, a high-resolution camera, and it fits in my pocket.

And it costs about half as much.

Crazy, crazy times.
