Every year we have a Christmas gathering at our house, because we have the room to fit more people in. (This year only 5 of us, but some years it can be a dozen) But one year we all squashed into Middle Child's house and decided it really is too much of a squash. The food was just as good there as here.

Our current home is bigger than our previous one and so we can fairly easily fit family in.

But we don't have to for Christmas since my daughter and her family moved into their current home as it is even better, so we go to them for Christmas, as do her husband's parents, and the 8 of us still have room to spread out. I still find it slightly odd, in a nice way, not to be doing all the cooking, but just sitting back and waiting to be called to the table!
