The Dark Knight review (long analysis)

The Dark Knight is the most overrated "superhero" film of all time.
I can't believe the incredibly overblown, unjustified hype this film is getting.

I say "superhero" because TDK is quite simply, a super-spy film/crime drama. They basically turned the genre into The Bourne Identity. Lots of people plotting and double-crossing and out-guessing the out ( Read more... )

Remember when the Joker taunts the detective about killing his friends with knives, getting to know the true them, suggesting some of them may have died cowards? At what point did the Joker knife police officers to death? The only police I saw killed were during the chase scene, and they were either shot or blown up. Did something happen off-screen that I was unaware of? It just seems that at this point, the movie forgot the past twenty minutes and just made up any old story to help get the Joker freed from his cell.
