Old sheds and haircuts

I have no idea why I have a * hair hangup* as I call it. It has always stressed me out to even think about having shorter hair past my bra strap. My girls have always had long hair, both to their behinds for several years and the thought of cutting it upset me, I have no idea why. It's not a religious belief for me. I wonder if this is really ( Read more... )

I think it always hurts a mommy's heart to cut a daughter's beautiful ong hair. It hurt mine when you said how long Chelsea's was. My two never had hair quite that long, but I always hurt inside when Rachel wanted to cut hers shorter or when I decided to shorten Eilish's before her heart surgery! I do not regret that decision though. How cool about all the new clothes for the girls and having so much to sell!

It does hurt your heart.. Like Glen said below this post, it takes years to grow it out that long and I guess that's what hurts us the most.

I think the heartache of cutting such long hair is more for the years it has take to get the length than for the hair in itself. It never seems to return to that length. I also think that Chelsea will miss mote the time you spent together caring for her hair, than the hair itself. I would make cure to compensate for that.

I'm going to head on into your eBay store for a looksee. There were a couple of things in there that tickled my fancy, but I've held off because I don't know the freight to Australia, and I have to watch the pennies a bit. Still, it's always fun to peek into the treasures you have there. Big hugs for you and Chelsea.

I'm always posting new stuff in my store. My experience with shipping to Australia hasn't been good. It's expensive for one thing. I shipped a collectable tray several months ago, it took it 6 weeks to get there, customs OPENED it, scratched the thing up and even dented it. I had it clearly marked on the outside what it was and everything. Ticked me and the guy that bought it both off!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but My assumption is that Australia is pretty tough on things coming in.

I really don't know that Australian Customs is tougher than any other. I've bought from America before and had no problems. It may just be the luck of the draw. Also things that Shirley has sent me have arrived here safe and sound. I can't really explain.

On the other hand, yep, postage is going to be a huge cost.

Six Weeks is a bit rude. The Post Office here can sometimes be a bit inexplicable as well.
