Chels had such a hard day at daycare yesterday..she has always been at home with me.. and,  since she's the new kid on the block some other kids are mean to her.  One girl called her gay, one told her that her feet were dirty.. ( she had on flip flops and just returned from the playground) She was tired, so last night she wanted me to rock her

Kids can be hurtful, more so when they see their parents being mean and spiteful. I've had an occasion in a shopping centre when a guy rushing past with his family made a size joke as he passed me, and I thought to myself, "Great, you just taught your kids to be intolerant and rude, and to have no consideration for another person's feelings." Often the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree.

Give Chels some extra snuggling and love for me, please, and have some hugs from me for yourself. You are a great mom. Chels is lucky to have you.

What a sweet little girl you've got!
I don't know why kindness isn't taught either. Maybe because the parents of said unkind children are not kind themselves?

I hope things get better for her. It is so hard to adjust to new situations. I hope the daycare provider can make things easier for her. Extra hugs all around!
