Oh wow, I really loved this! The characters were all so perfect. I loved how strong they all were, even while they were struggling to keep the team from collapsing. Ariadne especially. I loved how you managed to make her so fragile without making her weak, you know? She's fighting through it, not just sitting around feeling sorry for herself, which is awesome and very Ariadne-ish. And EAMES! D: And Cobb too. *wibble* They were just perfect, all of them. You did an awesome job
(oh oh oh and I liked the bit about Ariadne's little grave architecture project too; that was really sweet. ok i'm done now)
Wow, thank-you. Characterisation is probably my biggest worry when I'm writing for a new fandom, so "perfect" -- shit, thankyou! :3 I don't think Ariadne is the kind of person to mope and feel sorry for herself at all, so I'm glad that came through. Writing Eames' little bits, actually, made me tear up more than writing Ariadne's. I guess that's because I'm primarily an Arthur/Eames shipper. It was kind of the feeling I got from the movie that Cobb took her under his wing, so to speak, and I think that a parallel with Mal, however slight, would have scared him silly.
Whew -- I'm glad the grave thing worked, because it was specifically asked for in the prompt and I wasn't quite sure how to approach it.
Oh, my heart. This is heart-wrenching and bittersweet at the same time. We never really knew how he died but his passing didn't go by them unnoticed. Thanks for sharing the fic.

Only in fandom do you regularly come across the phrase "hurt in the right way". Heh.
