The Fat Lady Has Not Yet Sung

If you think it's over, it isn't. stewardess tells us a very, very plausible reason for the purge.

The censorship is not over, and if LJ does go public, it will never be the haven it was in its days before SixApart.

cordelia_v suggests it might be time for fandom to migrate. I think so, too. What do you think? PLEASE pimp this poll far and wide!

If we all move elsewhere, aren't we pretty much just giving in to this sixapart, if that IS what they're doing (trying to make it look good for investors)? That's like saying "sure, walk all over us". I say back it up, stay here and if they do decide to go all ape shit crazy again, then raise merry hell and alert the investors - along with everyone else - if it does happen.

I with there was an option in the poll that said I am not ready to decide whether to stay or go yet -- still waiting a few more days to see what happens.

I'm half-going. Moving my fannish stuff to JF, my Pagan blogging to a yet-unspecified bloghost (probably something with WordPress), and keeping my main journal to link stuff that happens in the other two for people who don't want to leave ( ... )

Well, I'm personally both moving and staying. I like the idea of the Greatest Journal's icons, but LiveJournal is... LiveJournal. And I like it here, regardless.

But, of course, this way I'll have a back-up in case LJ decides my journal isn't 'acceptable'.

Multiply.com - seems to be part myspace and part journal. has links integrated to flicker and other services. posting defaults allow a simultaneous posting to LJ - it doesn't have cut tags, etc, but i think putting in an LJ cut tag would be ignored on multiply.com and fed through to the LJ post.
