Hokay, so, I've spoken of this before, but I may as well confirm matters to be set in stone:
I am shaving my head (Yes, including beard) for the charity called CanTeen.
CanTeen is a NZ charity that helps support young people living with cancer. The whole 'shaving your head' thing is one of their major fundraising drives, along with selling bandannas (Which tend to be worn by chemo patients, which is also the inspiration of the head shaving thing). I've decided that it's a worthwhile cause, and one I can actually contribute meaningfully to - after all, I've had the beard since 2003, and all but three people in my social circles have ever seen me without it, soooo... worth a shot, I figure. :)
For those of you not able to make it due to, say, that pesky puddle of water that would get in the way, but keen to donate out all he same: I've set up a PayPal link. I've not done this before, so if there's any problems let me know...
