Recovered 09/25/??:
My name is Jonathan Summers. I am a doctor- no- I’m a scientist working in the city of Discedo. This recording is meant to keep track of my personal research on the Atropos virus that has devastated the whole world. I have to do this on my own. You could say it’s my last resort. However, I’m the only one who’s willing to take that risk. Or so it seems.

So far, what we know about this virus is that it happened because of the fish. Something got into the lake- the fish were infected. We assume that the virus was transferred from fish to other species through consumption. Hell, the newspapers would be enough proof of that. Though we've gotten some progress on getting the fish problem cured, there's still nothing on how to tackle this virus in humans. All leads lead to dead ends. And though we have additional help from other doctors outside of Discedo, progress has yet to be made still.

Regardless, this virus is fatal and we must find a cure. People are dying everyday now. It is difficult to detect in its early stages however. Most, if not all, victims share a common story though.

They start with a common cold. Nothing to call a doctor about, right? But soon they become tired, vulnerable to random fainting spells and the like. But it could be cured with a few days’ rest, right? Probably just exhaustion.

Unfortunately, not so. Victims start pouring into the hospital when they start to cough up blood in the next few days. The cause? They haven’t a damn clue. It was just a cold. They were just tired.

Their internal organs fail- and well, by the end of the week, that’s that. From what we’ve heard, it seems to occur over a two-to-three week period.

It isn’t right what we’re doing- but for the “greater good” we must. Drastic measures, and all that. But even in these bad times, is experimenting on humans first really how far we’ve gone?

It’s all empty promises, what we say to them, but it brings people in. Volunteers to find a cure, by injecting them with the virus. And then calmly taking down notes. What works, what doesn’t?

I volunteered myself. Out of all the risks I’ve taken, this is no doubt the craziest one yet.
But… if I have a chance to save her-

Along with that, I’ve been looking at the virus in animals as well. Curing humans is the main priority, but… I might be able to find something by taking the other road.

Priorities:
• Establish contact with 'Johnathan Summers'✓
• Brief returning 'teams' on areas outside Discedo(Accido?)
• Continue compiling documents for research
• Continue investigation on Walter's accomplice(Jackie Estacado; contact established)✓
• Procure Atropos sample(Fairly recent outbreak? Consider questioning residents), availability confirmed by Johnathan Summers
• Continue search for functioning air or watercrafts
• Prepare for Autumn, Winter
• Continue game with Redfield, Valentine

I have always been fond of cooler seasons.
