Camp's over

Well, I finished Camp CBI on Friday. All in all, camp was a great experience. I learned a lot about working with kids, especially 7- and 8-year-olds. Prior to this summer, my experience had mainly been with 11-13-year-olds, and now I realize that there are major differences. D&D in the DC area this fall?

I also wrote my final paper for Religion and Modern Fiction on The Life of Pi and A Passage to India though I wrote about the relationship between mouths and food and the intake of ideas (all coming from a quote about the universe being the mouth of baby krishna). The bit you've posted here is very insightful though. I really did enjoy that book.

I think D&D might definitely be a weeknight possibility! Where will you be living?

And what an amazing coincidence about our final papers! I had so much fun writing that paper - really a great conclusion to a great class. :) I hope your summer's going well!

South Alexandria with my mom. I'll be working until I go to korea to teach English, hopefully around January. Laura's here and some of our other friends who are interested in playing. I am feeling a distinct lack at the moment.

Considering those are the two books that involved Hinduism, I wouldn't say it's that big of a coincidence. ^_~

Ah, good point. :)

Teaching English in Korea, eh? Sounds awesome! Let's definitely think about what we can do about D&D - I'd be particularly interested in not DMing if someone else would like to. :)
