Do you know Spanish? I am reading a book in Spanish and English to ours. When Iris takes this class, it could be good to get simple picture books from the library in Spanish to supplement?

I read somewhere that by the time these kids get older, the Spanish population could be greater than Caucasian so it seems wise to encourage Spanish too. But it's also just useful, especially in areas like the Bay area.

I know only a tiny bit, and we do have a few picture books with Spanish words. I'm not sure it would be useful because my pronunciation is horrendous, and she doesn't read yet. However, she'll have Spanish class 4 days a week starting in Kindergarten, and maybe we could Skype with Kragen and Beatrice a bit more often.
