The Secret Machines

OMG...Were the Secret Machines amazing or what last night! I danced my ass off AND blew a wad of $45 on merch! SHIT! It was worth it...I love them. I was in front of (thank goodness not behind) a VERY tall guy last night. He was a HUGE fan and kept screaming... "The Secret Machines". We started talking a bit about the band and how amazing ( Read more... )

Well hello where did you come from? Hello-o-o-o

I think the Parish is a fine establishment (aside from the rape you prices usually), but their sound is GREAT, the bands are usually good and I love the ambiance, but I agree it does suck sometimes.

Se LA Vi smoking establishments! WAH!

pssst.. don't tell too many people, but if you push "1" for emergency / power outage, then pretend you screwed up, you get xfered to the head of the queue.

Takes 15 min max.

I'm poor too, and on my sixth or so payment plan (finally digging out this time). I don't want to tell everyone and lose the "backdoor", but hopefully you get emailed comments and find this.

thank you! good tip. I'm frustrated on so many levels and just sitting on the phone for 30+ minutes just infuriates me.

HOW can they feel comfortable about screwing hard working folks? (this starts a gov't level!) seriously the guy who cut off my electricity was laughing and smiling! (plus he refused to take a payment on site, why?)

argh! Thanks for your empathy. they didn't understand that I needed at least empathy from them.

I've never seen them shut it off (that's happened twice). Generally it's better if you can catch them before that. You can offer to pay 1/3 of the total bill, and get the rest on a payment plan. Once you get it turned on (which generally means paying your past-due amount, and an $80 bill added to your next cycle - although at least that gets it turned on promptly! Last time it took us longer to get home from our errands). You can also pay less and wait a few days... but I don't think that's particularly worth it. You can get a payment plan once you get it turned back on.

Glad I could help! "oh, sorry, I just heard 'power outage' and thought you meant having it turned off" :-)
