I went to (one of) the first screenings of the Matrix Reloaded last night at midnight. This is not something I would ever consider doing when I have work on, its just not worth it for me. I won't look him up just at the moment cos I think when you're sober you'll think differently! But I did look up his street on the map and its not that far from where I live. So if you ever need in the future I can look him up... I'm sure he's fine though, honestly.

ooops--------it is now 11.11am and I am sober ----- my son is over 30 and even though he knows his momma is crazy----I think he might not like me sending out a protection squad!!!! Tee Hee! I had one glass of wine before I left work and decided to follow it up with a bottle when I got home ----NOT a good idea on an empty stomach at that time of the morning!!!! and now I've got a headache

Anyway when I come over to New Zealand in November I will buy you a drink to apologise OK?

So, without spoling it for us unfortunate souls who haven't had the chance yet of picking a date to go see it, tell us if it's worth all the hype. Is it as good or even better in its concept as well as way of filming and telling the story as is the original????

In concept, yes it is as good as the first, but I think we as a people are in a different place in the way we interact with the world since Sept 11 etc so the actual way it makes you think is not as deep, I don't think this is the movie's fault though. Way of filming, well you expect so much from it because of the first one and it doesn't get sloppy certainly, but it doesn't get better which is sort of what I hoped. I thought personally a couple of the fight scenes just dragged on to the point where I was like enough already!. And in telling the story, well they've certainly expanded a bit and I liked the way you got deeped into what the Matrix actually was and how it worked, how it was created etc.

Overall, while its not BETTER than the original it does do the original proud and certainly isn't worse. Overall I guess as good as the original as a sequel can be, better on some points, worse on others.

Is that cryptic enough?
