So...I NEED a new breakfast food to eat at work. I've been eating 1/2 cup oatmeal with splenda every day for six months and i think i will vomit if i eat it again. For the 9-5 coffee clutchers, what do you eat at work for breakfast? I'm looking for something healthy that keeps me going and is easy to prepare. I'm thinking of maybe starting to ( Read more... )

I'm useless on this one since I don't eat breakfast. I'm just not hungry in the morning.

What about a banana with a dash of granola or something like that?

I am impressed with how lo-cal you keep breakfast! I always feel like breakfast is the time I'm allowed to splurge and eat a lot, since your body burns it off better throughout the day (as opposed to a big dinner).

But how about toast with peanut butter? peanut butter is supposedly high in protein and keeps you going for a long time.

Also avocados are fatty but can make a really filling breakfast, sprinkle a little salt and pepper and lemon juice on half an avocado.

cereal with skim milk?

oooo...good call with the avocado! i can get those cheap at costco too! avocados and tomato and balsamic.

i'm also thinking about marinating mushrooms and doing sort of a antipasti breakfast.

(i must admit...we're not always so healthful at dinner, especially if we go out.) But I try to keep everything pretty healthy...

Children, lightly seared in a pan, baked in the oven at 350 degrees, then sliced up so you can take bits to work to reheat in the microwave. I mean, your company does kid's clothes, right? Then it stands to reason their microwave should be large enough to hold children...

(In other words, I don't eat breakfast either. or, lunch, usually. For some reason I have for a very long time been eating all my meals after the sun has started going down. that and beer explains the beer gut. I know it's not healthy, but breakfast tends to make me feel sick about midday, and I'm usually too busy/wound-up to eat lunch at work)
