I had the idea that you were far more conservative than you seem to be. That is, I didn't think we'd agree on anything politically at all, but we appear to on several issues.

I'd be interested to know what made you think I was so conservative. By northern coastal standards, I'm quite conservative, but all that means is I'm not a flaming liberal. :)

I don't think it was based on any empirical evidence, rather broad assumptions...you know, those dangerous traps that get us in trouble sometimes. Probably your family's religious background and then assuming that meant you fell into the "conservative group" at Kate's...just some idea that didn't get shaken loose until I read your journal.
