I have just returned from a wonderful week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with four of my friends. For those that might not know, Cabo is the southernmost city on the Baja penninsula. I was so disappointed when in 1973 the paved road, know as route 1, was completed that ran down the length of the Baja Peninsula. Though I had/have never been there I still felt a personal sigh of despair in that another untamed and wild area was lost to tourism and general human habitation.
