Of all of the places I went in Spain, San Sebastian was the most inspiring as far as photography. I am still combing through my photos from the few days I was there and I have a lot more good ones than practically anywhere else.

After the white water walk, we took the Whirlpool Aero Car for an overhead view of the falls. The light was not really that great, so I didn’t get many awesome photos. However, this is a view of the trees surrounding the basin with the whirlpool at the base of the rapids:

After our trip on the Maid of the Mist, we headed up the river to the White Water Walk, a 1/4 mile boardwalk that runs along the Whirlpool Rapids. The Whirlpool Rapids are a set of class 6 rapids - too dangerous to navigate. A few weeks ago, I had the absolutely brilliant plan for my boyfriend and I to take a weekend away over Columbus Day weekend to see Niagara Falls. One Sunday while I was in Barcelona, I busted out my lensbaby. I always take it with me on vacation, but I find I don’t use it so often because you have to be so precise and I’m trying to capture so much. The call is the old Jewish quarter in Barcelona. It’s a small area characterized by particularly narrow streets - none of them are passable by car. Now it’s mostly full of small boutiques and bars.
