I was just watching yesterday's Good Morning America which they show here early in the morning and I was reminded of the handcuffing of that small girl. That has got to be the epitome of all the insane American stereotypes rolled into one. All children have temper tantrums now and then, and (I'm going to be making a few assumptions here) typically, instead of taking her out of the room to get a drink of water, or being temporarily isolated if it was that bad, the assistant principal or whoever it was tries to convince her using Dr. Phil buzzwords that everyone else had to leave because of her actions and that she didn't have the right to do what she was doing. Because of her inability to handle a five year old girl, despite that no doubt being one of her job requirements, the assistant principal calls the police. Then we have the classic footage of three white police officers handcuffing a five year old black girl, and to top it all off, her lawyer looks like he weighs 300 pounds.

Incidentally, after that they showed some thing about some guy who still has "severe psychological problems" after finding a thin slice of skin in a fast food salad more than six months ago. I hope you Americans know why the rest of the world kind of hates your guts. ;]
