I have not written a blog in the past few days, because I have been working on my novel writing and catching up with a few of my penpals . . .
I just have just finished reading the book Break Writer’s Block Now! Jerrold Mundis. It had a lot of good tips, advice and exercises that I tried.
I write 15 minutes a day on two different things, but I have realized that with my sleep schedule and errands that I cannot do the 15 minutes at the same time every day. . . I am just happy to break the writer’s block and get something written every day. I also feel really productive this week with everything.
I am hoping to up it to 20 minutes for my writings next week.
Monday thru Friday
20 minutes for Chapter 7 of book one
20 minutes for Rebekah's story on book four
Saturday and Sunday
20 minutes on Short stories each day
20 minutes on poetry
I am now reading Outwitting Writer’s Block and Other Problems of the Pen By Jenna Glatzer (Thanks Stephannie). As I was skimming the book I noticed that it mentioned Break Writer’s Block Now!
I have taken a lot of the tips on each book and I love the exercises and prompts, helps me write and look at my characters from a different angle.
If you have had problem with writing or you just feel blocked I suggest going to the local book store or library and check out:

(“But you don’t have to take my word for it!”-Sorry Reading Rainbow quote . . .)
On another writer’s note:
Down the road when I am editing my work . . . I am hoping to find some books and articles on the difference of Telling Versus Showing . . . Other than my many grammar errors that other writers have seen in my work: my biggest problem is that I am not “showing” enough in my novel. If you know any books or articles I can look for that please let me know. . . thanks.
