This is my luke's reaction to Noah in today's episode

There’s a dull rush…

It sounds like rushing, howling wind, relentless and ruthless

Its in Luke’s ears and he can’t hear anything. There’s pounding though and its steadily getting faster and faster, as is this rushing wind, getting louder and louder as if its coming for him. Its like a vortex and its sucking luke deeper with every breath he takes.

He can see Noah across the table from him, but this horrible, horrible noise is blocking anything that Noah is saying out. He can see his lips moving but no sound reaches Luke at all.

Luke’s mind is a blank and all he registers is 4 words resonating round and round his mind.

“He doesn’t believe me…”

Noah gives him this weird look, but Luke is so totally consumed by this shocking reality that he really cannot be bothered with Noah at this very point in time.

“He doesn’t believe me…”

It thumps along his blood circulation, pumping out each time his heart pounds in his chest.

“He doesn’t believe me…”

Its like a mantra repeating itself over and over getting louder and heavier with more meaning each time.

“He doesn’t believe me…”

It settles in his stomach and sits there like a lump of coal, leaving a bitter after taste in his mouth. Bile rises from this dead weight, and he stumbles from his chair, outside java and loses his breakfast on the footpath outside the door.

“He doesn’t believe me…”

Luke straightens up but can’t see from the tears clouding his vision, he spins away from Noah’s concerned touch at his back, but his shoulder slams into the edge of the brick wall, and steals the breath from Luke’s body. He slumps against the wall, his legs losing the ability to hold himself upright and he slides down the wall, resting his pounding head on his legs and sobs his heart out.

“He doesn’t believe me”

Finally as Luke sobs out all his heartache to nobody, but for somebody, the words seem to fade into thin air leaving this cold, dark empty space inside him, where he thinks his heart is supposed to be…
