A request for help...

My family owns 70 acres of prime farmland in central MS about 20 minutes out of Meridian. They also have friends who own more land than us, and is already cleared of trees, as ours is still densly forrested.

Either way, I have calls to make tonight to the family and all requesting permission for this idea, but I don't see it getting shot down.

Sounds like a veryvery noble idea!

I just got word today that my family in MS rode out the storm okay, all family memebers accounted for.
Hopefully y'all were just as lucky.

We were, for the most part. Still a family friend in Slidell, LA, which was hit hard. We haven't heard from him.

That has us really worried, as he was an older guy. His wife and son left Slidell with the evacuation, he stayed to help the house/neighbors.

I just wanted to shake my family members, they stayed with their houses in Gulfport.

But I'm just so thankful that they're safe.

I'll keep him in my thoughts.
