No problem. Let me know what you think of it. Do you know anything about Invisible Children? I think the video is a clip from their movie. I haven't seen the movie yet but I want to buy it to show my youth group.
Thank you for posting. It was a provoking video. The sin and destruction of mankind is so overwhelming. It makes me thankful for the awesome, powerful God that we serve and is in control of all.
Isn't it though? Yes, sometimes I wonder about the kind of fear that would overtake me if I did not have God? I would be so scared to die, scared to lose and terrified of pain and the unknown.
But then, how would I, a Christian, react under THAT kind of persecution?
Thank you so much for watching it. I know what you mean, when the little boy starts crying for his brother I almost lost it. How can people do that? Even worse, how can people see what's going on and not do something. It breaks my little heart.
I know what you mean, it just digusts me how people could just sit back and watch this happen when they know they can do something about it. I sincerely wish I had the money to help the kids, but I don't due to college and the money that I do have, I need FOR college, so I have no choice :(
But to those that actually DO have a lot of money and spend it on unnecessary things just shows me how selfish they tend to be. Their money could go into something more important than materialistic things. The money that they would give would benefit those children that are starving.
You're exactly right, the people who could do SO MUCH aren't doing a thing. No one seems to care about the "invisible children" in Uganda. I want to do what I can...you know, post about it, help support it by buying bracelets (www.invisiblechildren.com) but I'm no millionare either and I don't have that much cash.
It's almost a joke to say, "Kids are starving in Africa." But it's so dang true and more people need to start caring, expecially being so blessed as to live in a country of plenty.
abby....i didn't think that this would happened but when i watched that...i was sobbing. i came on lj just to say bye and have fun on ur trip and i love you - - - but im so glad i watched that. when you come back...tell me more about it. your the best... bobbi
Oh Bobbi! Thank you so much for commenting and watching that video. I saw it and just HAD to post. When the little boy says he doesn't want to talk about it anymore because he might start something and then starts crying I almost lost it. It broke my heart. Yes, I'll tell you everything I know about it. It's one of those things you couldn't live with yourself if you didn't do SOMETHING about it. No matter how small...just telling a friend even.
Anyway, I miss you already. Have the best of Thanksgiving and eat tons of stuffing for me. I'll probably be eating peanuts, but, BELIVE ME, I don't mind. LOL. Wish I could have done something with you today.
