Anyway, out of curiousity, as a social worker do you imagine yourself working with the elderly man or the people who swindled him? I think I'm more likely to get the people who swindled him as clients...
I would say that I would more likely work with the elderly man. Not necessarily because I wouldn't want to work with delinquents at some point, but I really do enjoy working with the elderly and they seem to respond really well to me and my methods. I'm actually looking into social work with seniors as a career goal.
What does that mean? Seniors on disability or living in poverty? I'm just wondering what the rules are for why people would require a social worker. Like, all of my clients were both homeless and suffering from a mental illness. I imagine that social workers have a lot of people without mental illness, so they must require help for something else. Hmm. Maybe investigating elder abuse cases? I don't know. I'm just trying to figure it out.
