Well shit.

My laptop was being such a bitch today that I finally surrendered and gave it to my parents.  However, in the process... it fried my iPod.  DDDDD8  I don't want to take it in for repairs because there's such a high chance it's just fried that I don't want to bother, and after repair fees and spare parts it'd probably be more than it's ( Read more... )

Oh man ;A; that's terrible! Have you asked on the internet about retrieving any of the data off the hard drive? I'm pretty sure there are services to do that with fried computer hard drives, but I'm not sure about iPod drives. Maybe you can contact Apple about it? I'm sure you're not the first person to use your iPod as a flash drive, and Apple seems decent enough to consider your privacy with regard to the files on it. You don't need the fixed, just the data on the drive copied off.
And if your dumb computer fried the durn thing, I don't see as how it's any fault of your own >:(
And about for the laptop, I'm telling you, check the warranty and call the company you bought it from! If there's a possibility you can get it fixed for free I would say HECK YEAH.

As for the music thing, message me whenever and I'll tell you how I did mine. It's not too complicated.

iPod: Warranty ran out a while back and nothing's essential on there.

Laptop's mostly solved, but just in case it's not, I'm going to overwrite my free space because I have ~*~personal information~*~ on there and I don't want the boys at the computer shop getting my cell phone number. Any suggestions on that?
