Irene, really?

So, living in VT, a landlocked state I had this crazy idea that we'd fair pretty well when Irene showed up.

We're suffering some of the worst damage she's brought.
I'm at my boyfriends house because the roads are so flooded that I can't get home. His parents are stuck in some random shitty town because the town has been cut off from all other roads

That's crazy, we fared okay here, some of my town is under water, but where I am is okay

We didn't either, it's a shock since it didn't do ANYTHING in Manhatten where it was supposed to ruin everything.

I mean I'm lucky no water in the house nothing like that but some people had their houses wash away. I've heard of a least one confirmed death and a couple other people getting washed away.

and somehow it's still raining.
it's been raining for nearly 24 hours straight now.

I love my state.

By tomorrow we'll hopefully know the extent of the damage.

I'm really worried about VT.

Wow, it's quite surprising VT is getting so much damage. I hope everything turns out o.k. and everyone is safe <3

We'll be ok.
We do have a couple confirmed deaths and some people still missing which is just awful.

Also we lost a lot of historic bridges and houses but Vermonters are really tough people.
