People who don't understand the rules of stop signs bother the shit out of me. There's a 4way by my house and people either sit there staring at eachother, or all try and go at the same time. Its.not that hard to understand!

It amazes me how bad people are at driving when virtually everyone does it and you have to take a test to be allowed to do it.

Why don't more people fail?

The muffin vs cupcake annoys me too. My husband doesn't understand the difference (if he does, he pretends he doesn't just to annoy me lol). They aren't even close to being the same thing, besides being baked in a muffin pan.

It's like people think that because they're the same general shape and are flour/egg/water mixture that they're the same thing.
It's so wrong. Muffins are supposed to be almost healthy for you with nuts and fruit and grain.
Cupcakes are mini cakes.

I don't even drive but I've noticed the first point. In the lab a few weeks ago, the guys there were comparing how much it costs to fill their tanks, but all that tells me is how big their tank is! Fair enough, they DID go on to compare how much they get to the gallon, but still, why observe the price to fill the tank in the first place?! No idea...

Don't even get me started. I could probably sit for ages and rant, mainly on grammatical issues: the difference between "literally" and "figuratively" for a start! I have so many pet peeves that by the time I sit down to write about them, I forget about lots!

And muffins and cupcakes are completely different things!!!! Both yummy though :D

I'm glad to know I'm not the only person who has noticed that!

I make a lot of grammatical errors in my writing (mostly because I don't proofread, ever.) but there are a few things that bother me. Capitalization for one (how can people not capitalize "I"?) Run on sentences are another. I used to be really bad with them, and sometimes I still do them but I hate trying to read something where a sentence never ends. It's tiring.

Thank you for knowing the difference! People just don't understand how I can like one and not really like the other.
Well people a cupcake is cake, who doesn't like cake? A muffin is good if it has good stuff in it. People ruin muffins all the time by putting cupcake like stuff in them, or putting good muffin stuff in them but making cupcake batter for them. It must be sacreligious or something.

I definitely agree about the DSLR and SLR difference. I have a minolta and canon SLR and people keep on commenting on the fact that it uses film and hence not a SLR. Um no. You're wrong.

And regarding your first annoyance, I never knew that is what people meant. I would think that cost refers to a monetary value. Strange people.

This isn't something I can specify but I wish people would think a little more carefully about what their words actually mean. It's not annoyance as such more along the lines of amusement. It is especially relevant when I tell them something and they try to repeat the same thing to another person but use words that completely change the meaning and yet they can't see the difference.

Well they are talking about the monetary value. It's dumb really. They think that by knowing how much it costs to fill your tank they'll learn how shitty your gas milage is. When really the two things aren't related at all.
They just don't understand that part of it.

I have actually never eaten a cupcake...they're not very well known here, compared to muffins which you can get in every bakery.
