Silence has finished seeing to the house and the animals and is seated near the fire, playing softly on the vielle. He looks up when she appears, a smile breaking across his face, and he sets it aside to rise quickly.

"I have brought us supper," she says with a soft smile for him, her eyes lighting when he stands. "I thought I would save us both from enduring more of our cooking."

Silence laughs, greeting her with a soft kiss. "Wise as ever, my lady."

She leans into it, his touch always welcome, even with the words it came with. Pulling back, she does her best to hide the smile she feels. "I am sure it is the husband's place to reassure his wife that her skills in the kitchen are second to none, no matter what the truth of the matter may be."
