Afterward. Slightly AU. Anakin was not burned beyond recognition on Mustafar, he's still pretty.
Obi-Wan's senses were tingling as he headed back to the small room where he had been staying. His mission on Katafel had been completed, and he was actually looking forward to returning to Tatooine. He had been away for far too long, in his estimation, considering his main purpose in life these days was to watch over Luke. But he would be back soon, and his first stop would be the Lars homestead to check on the tot.
There were some things that would lure him away from his charge, though, and a potentially Force-sensitive child was one of them. Her parents had been worried about her, but Kayla had simply been extremely intelligent, not Force-sensitive. The family had been glad to hear it, afraid that if she could use the Force, it would make her life more dangerous.
Obi-Wan scanned the immediate area with his senses as well as the Force, but he could find nothing out of the ordinary. Nevertheless, he approached the small building with care, almost certain that there was something amiss.
As he opened the door, he felt the odd, familiar sensation of being bound by the Force. Someone was restraining him. He tried to speak, to call out to his captor, but his vocal chords were immobilized as well.
"It will be much easier for you if you do not struggle," a familiar voice said. It was a voice Obi-Wan thought he would never hear again, and it sent shivers down his spine. He was both pleased and frightened at the same time.
Anakin.

There was a mine just outside the capital city that produced a rare ore, one which was in great demand, and Vader had come to make sure that the planet was under the Empire's rule. He quickly delegated that task to the most senior officer accompanying him and set off to search for a Jedi.
He had not been hard to find, much to Vader's surprise. Apparently Obi-Wan thought Jedi and other Force-sensitives were no longer in danger. It had been five years since the Jedi Purge, after all.
Well, dear old Obi-Wan was in for a surprise.
