I just finished an 8 hour standardized, nationalized examination to become 1/3 of the way closer to physicanhood. Essentially 12 patient encounters, note writing, each lasting 15 min. Fake doctors, with fake patients, so we can fake like we have a functional health care system ( Read more... )

we totally have the things you think we have, plus there are a lot of rad healthcare providey people [including me by the time you graduate]. i know i don't know you but i am excited about building grown-up radical family-oriented community here, and am particularly excited about more radical healthcare providers as friends for me.

ps the aforementioned 8-hr exam - are you talking about the OSCIs? i was a patient for that a couple years ago at cooper, it looked grueling. mazel tov on getting through.

What do you mean, "no green" in Chicago? For a major city, we're pretty green.

Chapel Hill has some radicals, community - I talked to some from SDS (which SDS is not the best but they seemed cool).

If yer gonna do FAmily Med, you must must must check out the Santa Rosa program in CA. If my partner could have made the move, it definitely would have been my 1st choice.

hey did you ever talk to my friend ian about residency? i would like to point out winnipeg a) is fucking freezing b) is in another country c) has no community whatsoever d) has all crappy residency programs other then this you may want to consider it. my votes for philly. but my vote is always for philly and its your life. just watch out for that armpit fungus phili'ans spread
