congratulations on the doctor-fication!

and i hear you about yay vs complex. i think that 100% complex is actually damaging to joy and joy-based non-burn-out progress. i'm a fan of complex-complex, so i gave myself a day or so just to be caught up entirely in yay before returning the feet to the ground and settling in to a complex-yay. part yay, part complex = complex complex = works for me.

note the complex-complex congratulations.
this is the total yay part. and that's all for right now. internet celebration.
later, perhaps the complexity of the b.s. of delayed doctorfication for non-team-player-ness, etc.

but right now?

not complex.

CONGRATULATIONS!

i'm totally serious about it. we've got an amsa meeting tomorrow, but i grabbed the president and asked about funding, and it seems doable.

i'm going to the MS4C conference this weekend in st louis with funding nationally, since locally there hasn't been a single meeting, the vp is trying to get me to take her job and the president hasn't been seen at a single event.

You're welcome. I'm living back in Southern California nowadays with my partner Phil, and expecting a baby around January 1st (my birthday). I'm thinking about going back to school to become a midwife in about a year. :)
