Ah, J-Dramas. Where would I be without you?

Melly downloaded GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) the other day, so we've been watching that like mad... AND GOOD LORD IS IT AMAZING. XD It's so ooooold, but the acting's pretty good, surprisingly enough. Oh, who am I kidding? THE OLDER IT IS, THE BETTER THE ACTING! .....Probably. Anyway, the actor playing Onizuka is mad hot. I recommend it! (I don't ( Read more... )

I know, I know! xD I'm so behind the times. But I've only just started following J-Dramas~ I'm in the exact opposite boat as you, though - never watched the anime or the manga, though I SUPER want to read it.

(Oh, hi Manga Fox! NO I WON'T TOUCH IT UNTIL I FINISH THE DRAMA, GOSH)

i should really watch more of them, tbh. D: just -- no time right now!

btw, do you want to be added to my jdrama filter? i don't update it much since i finished fangirling over the drama Last Friends but it's where i spam all my flailing over shows. :3

Gasp, yes =D I don't fangirl about drama too much, but I love reading about other people's thoughts. xD Kinda weird, but eh.

Haha. I know what you mean by it can get hard to keep track of which staff members did what. You can do what I did, have a note book and jot down who did what for a chapter of whatever.

You can use your journal to talk about anything you want. There's nothing wrong with it :)

The notebook thing sounds like such a good idea, I might rip that off of you. It's not like I even have a huge staff, either; just two editors and a new typesetter! You'd think this stuff would be easy to keep track of, ahaha. Gosh. This is hard to get used to!

I just feel like a dork for talking about the scanlation process all the time, though. @_@ Especially when I have people like you on my FL, as I'm fairly certain you've been at this a bit longer than me, if I'm correct? It just feels odd to be rehashing the same points over and over again. (I doubt anyone's interested anywho. xP) But hey, thanks. x3 You're rocking my socks off all over the place over here.

When you start to actually run a group with actual staff and not just a couple of friends, it can get messy. But it isn't too bad for you, compared to me who have a bazillion projects I need to keep track of on top of staff.

I've been doing manga scanlations for probably about 7 years.

GTO is the shit, for srs. Go watch it! Actually, I feel your pain on the whole disk space front, seeing as I have, like, 10% left and I only bought this thing in November, or something. I probably have at least 80 gigs devoted to anime and J-drama (mostly J-drama, since I've had a falling out with anime lately. A lot of it just doesn't catch my attention, 'cept Tora Dora. Tora Dora was amazing, I'm not even gonna lie.). Aaaaaah, internet. I love it so ( ... )

I usually download them right from the groups' websites, since I'm a whore for collecting stuff. xP But on that note, that site just reminded me that I have to finish 1 Litre of Tears. I think that was actually the first J-Drama I ever watched, although I only went through two or three episodes before I forgot about it...

But that site looks pretty spiffy. I'm gonna have to check it out. x3
