Can't believe I'm the first to comment. rebop, you constantly renew my faith in fanfiction with your lovely stories. You are killing me dead here with this one. I've always had a thing for a good rentboy story, and by using Luke's point of view you help make him believable in this role.

I was really hoping for a "link to part 2" at the end but will look forward to that event when you have time to write more.

I like rentboy fics too-ah, the angst!-with the caveat that they don't make prostitution all glamorous-it's ugly and miserable. I've never written one before, and it's been interesting getting into Luke's headspace here. He's one messed up dude, but given what his life is like, it's understandable.

I am really glad you are not glamorizing prostitution, in both chapters. Luke's feeling that he was prime property at 17, 18 but is now old is a heartbreaker.

It hurts so good. :)

Thanks. It's a pet peeve, along with Luke's hatred of "Pretty Woman", which is a very warped Cinderella story.

And it's sad but true-I think once you are past eighteen on the streets you are getting old. Luke's ancient at 23.

I don't know why, but I love rent boy stories. Luke is in desperate need of mega doses of TLC. Glad Tall Guy came to the rescue. Can't wait to read the next chapter.
