Hey, he married a 13 year old tahitian girl. Get off his back! Best feature of that: if he slicked her hair back, he could make her look like a 13 year old tahitian boy.

Awful. Simply awful.

Gaughin was a total fraud. And a pedophile. Not like a white man screwing the Western Hemisphere for personal gain was something new...

Maybe I just hate people who try to pass their crap off as something special just 'cause they removed themselves from society to do it. I remember hating Whitman and Thoreau too, so it might be that.

damn right.
I hated Thoreau too. We had a section of Walden assigned for a class once upon a time. I've not read anything that boring since.
