I also was in an accident and the air bag didn't go off. I was pretty pissed about that too. The collision center said that it was because all of the sensors need to be tripped before the airbag will go off. Sinc eI had just smashed the drivers side of the car, the passenger side sensor was still intact.
go figure.

I've come a lot closer to dying in my car than on my racing bike with no brakes while not wearing a helmet. This is a very bike-friendly town, though, as you know. I have a good reason to get it fixed now... it'll probably cost less than a tank of gas, anyway.
