Fandom: Criminal Minds but I haven't decided where to transpose them to just yet. I have a few ideas, like Psychonauts, Firefly, or using one of the more popular DC or Marvel storylines; but I am undecided!
Gen, Slash, and/or Het: Slash! Maybe some het.
Possible Pairings/Focus: Most likely Hotch/Reid, but there's a possibility of it being Hotch/Morgan or Reid/Rossi. I will likely include JJ/Will as a pairing because they're adorable.

I did have a question though, and this is about the premise of the challenge, I know that it's recasting, but you would use the people like, for me, from Criminal Minds in terms of personality and such, but in the roles/universe of a different fandom, right?

And Criminal Minds, I'm so excited! <3 But as to your question, yes, that's entirely correct - so for instance, you might take the BAU team and use them to replace Mal and co. onboard Serenity. So you might have Cap'n Hotch instead of Mal, and say Morgan the merc instead of Jayne. I hope that's clearer, but please do ask if you need any more clarification!

I really shouldn't join another big bang but I'm sure I can do it. I haven't quite decided which story to do. I had an idea, with tangled, and then I saw the season premiere and fell in love with Phillip and Aurora and got new ideas.

Question: If i understand this correctly the idea is to choose the plot of another film or movie but we don't actually need to follow the plot word for word right?

Don't worry about deciding on an idea right now, there's still plenty of time :D And if you do end up needing to drop out, just let us know - there'll be multiple opportunities to do so. I know what you mean though, I'm signed up to so many big bangs, BUT I JUST LOVE THEM TOO MUCH ;A;

And yes, that is exactly the idea! It's understood that plots will doubtless change with new characters - so really you're choosing the plot or premise of another fandom.

As to the message with your questions in it - I'm assuming that you sent it to deadflowers5? I'm realy sorry, but due to RL difficulties, she's just not able to make it onto LJ as much as she would normally. If you don't mind, you can send me the same message you sent her, and I'll answer for you, or you can ask it here. Either is absolutely fine :D (I'm assuming it's about min. word count and such though?) Of course, she isn't completely absent, so she may reply before you see this! *g*

Thanks, she actually got back to me this morning, but that's good for future reference. But yes primarily it was about whether minimum word count would change for two authors?

Haha, I knew she would as soon as I sent that message, isn't that the way things go? :) But I'm glad you've got your answer!

I don't know what answer you got, but I think the plan was for co-authoring to push the minimum word count up to 12,000? IDEK, which is not a good thing since I am co-modding this thing, but whoooops.
