i haven't been to the ocean in a really long time. it's sad i live in california. oh well, the water isn't very good and clean anyway. my papa told me this neat joke on mother's day:

"what did the atlantic ocean say to the pacific ocean?"

"i don't know."

"nothing, they just waved!"

if you go to some other place it's always good because most countries know english and it's easy to communicate, like:

"may i have a beer?"
or
"where can i find the mushrooms?"

- and dance. ok.

- the water is dirty and gross. but when all your friends are stripping down on a closed beach in the middle of the night, you don't really think about it.

- yes. along with "how much are cigarettes?" and "i've never done this before." (ha!)

- at city lights books in san fransisco i got a pin that says FUCK ART LET'S DANCE. i'm wearing it today.

i have a german phrase book that has helpful things in it, such as "do you have any venerial diseases?" and "no, i would not like to see you in the morning".
