Hmm. I kind of thought the point she was trying- albeit badly- to make there was that the distraction of a cell phone has nothing to do with your hands being occupide, it has to do with your mind being occupied; an anti-cell phone law which makes exceptions for handsfree devices is like a anti-drinking law that only applies to stuff in cans.

If she was trying to make that point, she made it quite poorly, as I wasn't trying to twist her words at all, but merely be amused by them. In any event, I believe there're places which ban kegs but not alcohol in general. While kegs aren't exactly -cans-....
