Helo/Sharon is more a ... fact of life in the fic than the focus of it. I'd say the Helo/Ellie elements are heavier so far. And Helo and Roslin mutual hate.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Black Ships, I was really proud of that story. I don't so much as hate Helo as think he's wrong most of the time ;)

And you should watch the West Wing sometime, great series.

Although I'll miss having Bartlet involved, I'm intrigued to see how the Colonials interact with President Santos.

Roslin is read to airlock Helo again? Nice to see some things haven't changed, LOL!

I got a bit of a chuckle out of them settling in Detroit. I was going to ask why you choose it, but I see the answer in the comments. It does make sense though, since Detroit does have all that abandoned manufacturing. I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to turn an old auto assembly line into a Viper assembly line. Cool idea. And I like the idea of Roslin sitting in the old office of the president of Ford.

I'm looking forward to more, and to finding out why Roslin is so pissed at Helo. Escaping Cylons? And the Earth folks still don't know all about the Cylons....? Oh boy!

And believe me, the Bartlet's will be involved. Note that I put a "Ellie/Helo" tag on this story. I expect we will see more of them than of Santos ;) Not that I don't like the Santos'.

Detroit was an idea that occured to me back in the Black Ships. I've seen a few stories that chose places in the American west to settle the Colonials (the one I'm remembering right now sets them in Utah). But it just seemed to me that there are a fair number of one industry towns in the North and East that would litterally give themselves up for the potential to have a space fighter production facility.

And no... Earth is going to find out though ;)
