Am I doing a good job?

I've been questioning on how I"m helping her to raise the girls as of lately. She keeps reassuring me that I'm doing a good job, but I'm still worried and heartbroken from time to time. I woke up this morning and tried to get Jaedyn to come to me while I was still in bed and she just looked at me with fear in her eyes. Granted I had just spanked

Have you tried doing other things than spanking? There's a lot of other ways to discipline kids... Try time-out, or just removing them from the situation?
I'm not against spaking, but it sounds like it may not be the best choice for you right now.
With young kids, the best way to get them to stop doing something is distraction... If Jaedyn is messing around with the cat and you don't want her to, get her to do something else with you. If she's being mean, try showing her how to be nice to the cat.

Ryan made a reply earlier but the connection must of failed on him. Either way we've tried all of the above suggestions. We've tried time out, distractions, and showing her how to be nice. They're just toddlers and going through the "test boundries" phase. It's trying, yes, and stressful. It causes the parentals to second guess thair tactics and pulls at the strings of patience. That is life. That is parenthoot.
