[Claire is actually pretty unaware! spending time in the mess hall with a good book (... or bad book, depending on someone's perspective-she's recently been inspired to reread Harry Potter) can avoid the mistletoe hassles for a while. she ends up coming out of the mess hall and stops in her tracks not because she sees Ivy (she hasn't noticed her yet), but because of the green growing stuff in the distance]
