*grins* No, I am not coming over to the dark side.

This just came out on the Yahoo MEDTC Discussion group and I thought I would forward it on via e-mail and then I realized that there's too many of you who would be into this. By the way, if you're into medieval and early modern clothing, dress accessories, and textiles (including tools and ( Read more... )

I was just reading that - the pidgeon english is fun, no insult intended to Ms. Knudsen!*

Good article! Even Ulfred was intrigued by the history intro.

*Being 'Murican, I know about 10 words in German, and 5 in Spanish, and 2 in French, and the alphabet in sign language... me=fail! :-p

I admit, I only looked at the pictures!

I hope that the translation is better than online translators - which is how I tend to read most of the German and Dutch articles I ferret. Yay for knowing French but why didn't I chose a French persona *grins*

Glad that you like. It's really bad for my book addiction.

I sorta figured it might cause that kind of problem...*le sigh* I already have about 50 books on my LibraryThing account that are simply tagged, "I Want!" *grin*

I created a speadsheet for my book wants, prioritized it and for kicks added in current prices.

That's not including my Book Borrow list which is equally prioritised and tagged with library names. So when I happen to be in the area, I can blizt away.

Not at all addicted to books...

Hello eleanor_deyeson November 7 2009, 07:39:13 UTC
Hi, I got here via femkederoas' LJ, howwever, I also read attack_laurel, jillwheezul, mmcnealy, pearl, and racaire1.

I aspire to be knowledgeable about accessories used in many various times and places, so I'm always looking for good researchers, who help dig up interesting nuggets.

I don't post very much, usually.

I'm Eleanor Deyeson, and have lived and played in Calontir since 1986. I recently got a Silver Hammer (GoA science award) for what what seemed to my stunned memory, general awesomeness, (and lots of research.) I'm trying hard to be worthy of that opinion

Hi Eleanor!

Sorry for not replying sooner. I had a baby and have been very out of date with my e-mail.

I've added you to my friends list and to my wheat research group. All my posts are tagged in the archive. I haven't posted much SCA wise of late and as long as you don't mind the various baby rambling, I should be starting to post more on my projects. I do post the odd research nugget too. But this year (once I am done my various current costuming projects) I am concentrating on my dyeing, wool processing and embroidery. I do have a neat period wheat project going on, but I need the wheat to grow another season before anything really interesting happens.

Anyhow, great to meet you and I hope you find my blog interesting.
