You can delete your Facebook account - but you have to leave it dormant for a fortnight before they'll actually delete it. Log in just once in that period and they'll revive it

The idea is to include the functionality of Facebook, but the user controls their data on their desktop.

You could read back on trayce and grr's jornals to get a taste of the recent happenings in LJland. Other than that, i think people are mostly bogging off to Facepalm or Twaddle.

Facebook deleted my account recently
(without notice or even explanation),
and I can't say as I'll miss it.

I post to LJ occasionally,
but read fairly often.
