I'm sitting at Espresso Royale- watching the people around me sip lattes and gossip. The woman across from me is arguing on her cell phone because she parked at a broken meter and they ticketed her car. One of the employees here is standing on a stool watering the hanging plants. Our country's attitude toward North Korea has been far too ambivalent since at least 9/11. It centers around the fact that we couldn't bully them the same way we did with Iraq, even though they were a much more imminent threat than they ever were. We continue to have in upwards of, correct me if I'm wrong, 30,000 US troops stationed at the border, 60+ years later. It's a BFD but nobody cares because they aren't Muslim.
