Only if you can't afford it or the plan you have to get with it.

Personally I look at it the way I look at iPods: something that looks and feels slick but which doesn't really change anything and which is overhyped. That iPhone doesn't look like the most comfortable thing to use since it basically looks like a glossy, very thin brick.
